Elise was great with Noah. She very engaging throughout his private lesson and clearly encouraging whenever she saw Noah getting tired or frustrated. Her skill set with being able to teach kids while simultaneously having them feel comfortable is invaluable. We saw Noah having a blast the entire time.

Elise is a great instructor. My 5 year daughter had 3 lessons with Elise over 3 days and I saw how she improved each day. Elise worked with my daughter on areas to improve her skills and help gain her confidence. One of the lessons was half day, Elise was able to engage my daughter the entire time and had lots of fun while working on improving her skills. Elise created a very positive and enjoyable learning experience. We will back for more lessons with Elise.

Coach Elise was beyond exceptional. It was my son’s first time skiing (2.5 yo!) and she made it fun and exciting for him and now all he talks about is skiing. She taught him so much in just one hour and he was able to ski by himself after just 20 mins. Also he asked her (basically obsessed her! ) to take him to the higher slope and she was so kind that she took him twice and gave him an unforgettable experience. My son still talks about Elise every day since last week and he said: Coach Elise said: if we fall we learn!”. Elise is a very responsible, kind and fun coach and she is so good with little children! We will definitely book with her again next time!

Elise was a wonderful blend of upbeat, yet calm. All three of our kids (teens and a 6yr old) found her prompts and demonstrations so easy to understand. She was so patient with them and gave them space to learn while also giving good prompts and keeping them from getting hurt 😅 I’ve been to many other resorts and Granlibakken is the best place for kids to learn! Elise really tailored the instruction to our childrens needs. Not easy to do when working with two children at once! Our kids were so excited to ski with Elise again; her enthusiasm and dedication to helping people learn to ski completely shines through. We were so impressed with how Elise asked us what our goals are for our children and then asked our children what their goals were as well. We’ve never had a ski instructor do that before and it was very much appreciated! We feel so lucky our children have had Elise teach them a couple times now and hope we can see Elise and have her teach them at Homewood this season. They absolutely have such a positive view of skiing and so much of that is due to Elise! On a side note, we also wanted to mention how impressed we were with how Elise pivoted when the main chair lift was not operating. Though that was really where our kids needed to be, she quickly thought of an alternate plan and found ways to still teach them new skills even while just on the bunny slopes. Lastly, we really appreciated her supervisor being willing to let us have a lesson this morning for an hour to make up for the two hours the main lift wasn’t working. That showed us how much snow schoolers cares about their customers and strives to have happy customers. While the situation was out of all of our control, it was a very kind gesture and the kids were beyond excited to get to ski with Elise one last time this morning. Thanks again!

Elise was awesome. She texted that morning before the lesson to confirm, was ready on time and was very friendly and patient with the kids. Would definitely work with Elise again. However, we arrived at 9:45 for a 10 am lesson. Took over 15 minutes to check in and then waited another 10 minutes to have someone help us with rental gear, which took forever. After that was all complete, we missed half the lesson. Elise did the best she could with the time she had! Her supervisor spoke to us after the lesson but did not even apologize for the delay. And when we asked for sledding passes for the kids to make up for it, he offered one. Umm, we have two kids buddy. Anyway, Elise rocks and we highly recommend her!

Elise was a great ski instructor for our daughter. She is our third instructor with snow schoolers and everyone has been fantastic, but our daughter felt the most comfortable with Elise (probably a girl thing). I liked how Elise started off with quick warm up exercises so my daughter could become more comfortable with her. She also gave us good feedback on our daughters improvement and disposition throughout the lesson as our daughter became more comfortable working with her.

Elise was an outstanding instructor and very patient with my 7 year old son. A combination of many distractions everywhere and a short attention span Elise was great at redirecting him and was hands on to instruct. This was his first time learning to ski and at times he doubted himself Elise was great at building his confidence and courage to ski. She was so good at it that he only wanted to ski with her. Elise made Daria very comfortable and by the end of it they were cracking jokes together while going up and down the bunny slopes. This was my kids’ first time snowboarding. They’re ages 10 and 5. Elise is great with children! She was very interactive and engaging. She was also protective and made sure the kids’ path down was clear every time they went down the hill. Before the end of the hour, both were independently snowboarding down the small hill with confidence. At the end of the lesson, my kids said they had a great time and they really liked Elise. Elise was great! My 5yo son had a great time and learned so much in 1 hour! He wanted to keep skiing and practicing after the lesson. Would definitely recommend to friends. Best place for kids beginner ski lessons.

Elise was an amazing instructor. It’s not easy teaching 2 kids and a highly uncoordinated adult, but she did it so well. We all had so much fun. My 10 year old was super scared before we started the lesson, by the end she cannot wait to come back. Thank you Elise! We’ll definitely be back!
