Jon was fantastic! He was so kind and patient with both my boys. He communicated clearly so that even my 8-year-old could understand the concepts and put them into practice. My boys are at different ability levels, and Jon was able to keep them both engaged and challenged. Oh, and my 10-year-old wants me to add that Jon was cool because he is jokey and fun.

He was able to get my daughter’s attention & engagement right away, which was great because I’ve found that sometimes male teachers in particular don’t have the confidence or interest (?) to get right down there to her level & draw her out, engage her. Also am impressed that he didn’t dumb it down unduly, explained some big concepts like edges & pre-stem-Christie turn weighting, that she clearly absorbed because she then “taught” me the rest of the day haha. Next day we did Homewood & she cruised an easy green & also nailed a “slalom” around my 2 planted poles with control. Great work Jon, thank you!
