About Elena Szlemp

I am originally from Oregon and I first learned to ski there. College brought me out to California and I visited Tahoe a few times to ski and loved it. Now I am a seasonal ski instructor in the winter and raft guide on the South Fork of the American in the Summer.

She did a great job of progressing both girls ahead in learning to ski.

We chose Granlibakken for private lessons for our 9 year old and 4 year old and couldn’t be happier with the instructor and overall experience! Elena was patient, kind, helpful and a great teacher for our kiddos. Both of our kids needed attention and she quickly reacted and managed their needs. Will definitely recommend Elena and will be back!

Focused on the needed skills and took very good care of the boy. Thanks!

Horrible storm out of her control, however very little teaching was done. Lesson started late and ended early (due to instructor). Had to walk up and down hill instead of rope tow which ate up a lot of time.

Patient and able to handle two young children! Excellent! We would have come back the next day if it wasn’t for the storm!
